We want to make life better for Indigenous people in Australia. We believe reliable research can help improve the delivery of services and programs to Indigenous people. We believe it is time to create new paradigms in Indigenous research. We understand that research needs to be culturally-responsive and connected to the needs of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. That’s why we are building upon conventional approaches to co-design research in accordance with communities and local authority. Together, we can make a difference.
Our approach adheres to the Australian Government’s guidelines for ethical conduct in research, and to a separate, complementary set of guidelines for ethical conduct in Indigenous research. We also follow our own spirit for integrity, which is why we work in close collaboration with our research communities and partners. We work from the outside-in and the inside-out doing what is respectful, responsible and right. We always walk with humility across this country, and greet with smiles those who guide us along the way.
